Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ParkAhead (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 and hold a valid driving licence to use driver features.

2. The Service

ParkAhead is an information and coordination platform. It (a) shows parking availability reported by other users and third parties, (b) lets drivers signal that they are about to leave a public parking spot and hand the spot to another driver, and (c) connects drivers with private parking owners through the marketplace.

We do not own public parking spaces, we do not guarantee that any spot will be available when you arrive, and we do not enforce traffic, municipal, or property rules. See the Parking Disclaimer.

3. Your account

  • You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your password safe.
  • One person per account; no shared or automated accounts.
  • You must provide accurate information and update it when it changes.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false spot reports, fake handoffs, or manipulate reputation.
  • Use the Service while driving in a way that violates local traffic law.
  • Block, reserve or "hold" public parking for others against local rules.
  • Harass, threaten or impersonate other users.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service.
  • List a parking lot you do not own or have authorisation to manage.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.

5. Handoffs

A handoff is a non-binding coordination between two drivers. A 5-minute priority window is a social signal, not a legal reservation of public space. The leaving driver is free to change plans; the arriving driver accepts the risk that the spot may be taken by a third party before arrival.

6. Marketplace and payments

  • Private parking listings are provided by owners, not by ParkAhead.
  • When you book a paid spot you enter into a contract with the owner; we act as a technology intermediary.
  • Prices, refunds and cancellation rules are set per listing. We may charge a service fee.
  • Payment is processed by our payment provider; their terms apply.

7. Reputation

Your reputation score is calculated from your actions on the platform. We may adjust scores to correct abuse. Reputation is for community use only and is not a statement about you outside the Service.

8. Content and licence

You keep ownership of content you submit (spots, reports, reviews, lot info). You grant ParkAhead a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and adapt that content as needed to operate and promote the Service.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, accurate, or that parking will be available.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ParkAhead will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, vehicle damage, towing fees, or parking fines. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) EUR 100. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms or risk to other users.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. The courts of Nicosia have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
