Parking Disclaimer

Please read this disclaimer carefully. It applies every time you use ParkAhead to find or hand off a parking spot.

1. No guarantee of availability

Parking information on ParkAhead is user-generated and updated in real time by drivers, owners, and third-party data sources. We do not guarantee that any spot will be free, reservable, or legal to use when you arrive.

2. Handoffs are not legal reservations

Public parking spaces cannot be legally reserved. A handoff is a courtesy coordination between two drivers. The 5-minute priority window is a social signal and does not give you any legal right to the spot. A third-party driver who is not on ParkAhead may take the spot at any time, and that is not a breach by us or by the leaving driver.

3. You are responsible for legal and safe parking

You alone are responsible for confirming that parking is legal at your destination, including but not limited to:

  • Time limits, parking discs and pay-and-display rules.
  • Disabled, residents-only, loading, and reserved zones.
  • Fire lanes, bus stops, crossings, junctions and dropped kerbs.
  • Private property restrictions.
  • Local traffic and municipal regulations.

ParkAhead is not liable for parking fines, clamping, towing, or damage to your vehicle.

4. Do not use while driving unsafely

Do not interact with the app in a way that violates local laws or distracts you from driving. Use voice navigation or pull over to interact with the map.

5. Private marketplace listings

Listings on the marketplace are provided by independent parking owners. ParkAhead does not inspect the spaces, verify ownership beyond reasonable checks, or warrant that any listing description, photo, or amenity is accurate. Your contract for a paid booking is with the owner.

6. Map and third-party data

Map tiles, place results and routing come from third parties (e.g. Google Maps). We are not responsible for inaccuracies in third-party data.

7. Emergency

Do not rely on ParkAhead in an emergency. Call your local emergency number.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ParkAhead disclaims liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, parking information shown in the Service. See our Terms of Service for the full limitation.
