Cookie Policy
Last updated: 16 June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how ParkAhead uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage) when you visit our website or use our app.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser. Local storage and session storage are similar mechanisms used by web apps to remember information between visits.
2. Categories we use
- Strictly necessary — required to sign you in, keep you logged in, remember the parking spot or booking you are viewing, and secure the Service. These cannot be turned off. Examples: authentication tokens, CSRF tokens.
- Functional — remember preferences like map radius, theme, last city. Disabling them will reset these preferences each visit.
- Analytics — help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it (aggregated, not used to identify you).
- Third-party (maps) — Google Maps may set its own cookies when the map loads. See Google's privacy and cookie policies.
3. Managing cookies
You can change cookie preferences for non-essential categories in your browser settings or, where shown, via our in-app cookie banner. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and most app features.
4. Do Not Track
We respect "Do Not Track" signals for analytics cookies where your browser sends them.
5. Changes
If we add new cookies we will update this page and, where required, ask for renewed consent.
